Carly’s penchant for digging up secretes continues in this fifth installment。 Unfortunately， we might have more questions than answers after that wild ride of an installment。 Thankfully， we got just enough answers to previous questions to not want to give up on the story。 This book also finally tied a few loose ends together。I liked that Carly kept Hank in the loop and he was involved more in this book。 I have a feeling that Wyatt is still trying to protect Carly in his own way and it’s bound to Carly’s penchant for digging up secretes continues in this fifth installment。 Unfortunately， we might have more questions than answers after that wild ride of an installment。 Thankfully， we got just enough answers to previous questions to not want to give up on the story。 This book also finally tied a few loose ends together。I liked that Carly kept Hank in the loop and he was involved more in this book。 I have a feeling that Wyatt is still trying to protect Carly in his own way and it’s bound to blow up in his face soon。 I can’t figure out what Emily is up to， but I’m sure now more than ever she’s the ultimate puppet master。 I was hoping the storyline would touch base on the situation with Carly’s father， but that didn’t progress much。 I felt she may have made some armature mistakes that could lead him right to her doorstep。 Hopefully， we will know more in the next book。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

“The Lies She Told” is an amazing read from start to finish。 Each page is filled by anticipation for the big climax of the series to come。 Additionally， Carly clears up a few more mysteries with her investigation skills and we learn more about her past。Carly and Marco are relishing in their new found love。 However， Carly is struggling with Jerry’a death and somehow feels responsible。 We learn the FBI has taken down the Hardshaw group but Carly’s father is unscathed。 He will still want to find he “The Lies She Told” is an amazing read from start to finish。 Each page is filled by anticipation for the big climax of the series to come。 Additionally， Carly clears up a few more mysteries with her investigation skills and we learn more about her past。Carly and Marco are relishing in their new found love。 However， Carly is struggling with Jerry’a death and somehow feels responsible。 We learn the FBI has taken down the Hardshaw group but Carly’s father is unscathed。 He will still want to find her but only to clean up loose ends。 As Carly goes about investigating Jerry’s death Hank asks her to move in Marco while he handles a matter。 It seems he has been in contact with his old cronies and Carly gets wind of a rumor Hank is trying to get his fortune back as well as settle an old score。 Oh， I also need to mention that Louise （Lola’s mother） is back in town and she wants Carly’s help。 Boy， is she a piece of work！This read has so much going on including Carly contacting and meeting her mother’s best friend for information about her biological father。 Carly is also contacted by Rose Gardner who wants her to come home; but， Carly isn’t ready and she needs to work out her situation with her father as well as her love for her friends。This is not a read you can put down。 I started it and a few hours later I was finished。 It was exciting， bewildering and scary; but most of all， it was a great read！ 。。。more

I absolutely loved The Lies She Told。 It was full of so much suspense。 I was kept guessing throughout the whole book。 Some questions were answered in this book and I was left with a lot more questions。 I am so excited for the next two Carly books。 I really hope there will be more books in this series。 Carly， Hank， Marco and the rest of her crew is great and Denise Grover Swank writes the characters so well that they feel like friends。
